I had an interesting experience recently
Went to a wedding dinner
with like a full 9 course meal
OK, so Chinese wedding dinner are usually
Pretty damn lavish
Most of the time, by the 5th course
The guests are pretty filled up and
Left overs are inevitable.
What some hosts do, is
Instruct the hotel / restaurant
To offer the guests if they want to pack doggy bags for the left overs.
This is one of the best ways to reduce wastage.
However, the arrangement is ALWAYS initiated by the hosts and
Never requested by the guests,
As it’s tacky and, well basically, rude.
So this begs a question – how to
Reduce wastage / “recycle”
& still keep to the etiquette expected in events like
