This is just putting a draft blog out of its misery... and mine...
When is Christmas not a Christmas?
There was a song I learnt... a long time ago... that reflected on the meaning of Christmas "Christmas isn't Christmas Till it happens in your heart..... Somewhere, deep inside you... That's where Christmas really start...."
Christmas has been so commercialised now that I wonder how many really sees Christmas For what it is...
Many sees Christmas as a time for Traditions..spending time with sometimes even estranged family Tolerating one another going through the rituals / motions....
Others sees Christmas as getting pressies and spending Money on useless gifts that hopefully would not get recycled..
Many more sees Chrismtas as the day before the crazy sale when shops sell stuff at a huge discounts...
Even in a country where the phrase "In God We Trust" is printed on their paper bills....
We are as guilty as one another When we fail to see that Without the birth of Jesus... There would be no Christmas... & therefore what is the reason for His birth?
We actually missed going to church While we were away... Which is really nice, So on Christmas eve We went to the nearest church and did midnight mass..
An interesting experience as I have not been to a Catholic service Let alone a Catholic Christmas Eve Watch Night Service..
But with carols and Story of Jesus' birth Told again... I am reminded that His birth was one wit a mission... We too... have a mission
Jesus has a story to tell Through us... So is yours? ours? a good story or A bad one?
