There was this story I heard sometime back that stirred a bit of emotions.
The daughter, who not so long ago, was still wearing her long jump suit babbling her first words
Came to sit by the mother One evening to tell her that she was pregnant.
"What would you do, mama, If it were me?" mine asked... I thought for a while... & told her the emotions I went through when I read that story.
There will be some scolding, nagging... Many "Why didn't you....s" "...& I still love you very much..."
I think I need to assure my baby, get the frustration out of my system Before I can handle the rest.
Then we would sit down to decide where to have the baby How to live on what we have How my daughter would continue with her education & where do we go From here.
We may explore the possibility of putting the child up for adoption...
Only if she wants to consider it... Later on...
For the present moment she needs to know Above all else
John Stephen David My Friend, My Mentor, My Popsie
I heard with shock and sadness That John passed away yesterday morning 5th July After slipping into a coma A few days before.
Esther, his wife, had to comfort me?! Reminding me that NOW, John can walk again & in great company of the saints and best of all in His Saviour's presence.
John David, whom I affectionately call 'Popsie', was like a spiritual father to me.
I was blessed with the privilege of having the both of them sharing some part of their lives with me, and though I was not given away by John, I was 'married away' from their home.
They stood in as the groom's parents when his were unable to come and sang "sunrise, sunset" at our reception.
When my marriage was disintegrating He called up to ask me to pack my bags to 'go home' to UK that a room is always ready....
A true disciple of Christ, he would always encourage us to seek answers from the Bible and not just base on his understanding of the word.
Thank you Lord for blessing us with beautiful, happy Memories for allowing us the privilege to know and share the company of one of your disciples.
Praise you Lord for Popsie is finally healed Totally, completely and pain free...
It's hard to say good bye But in Christ we have this assurance that we will meet again. Until then....
