| Picnic |
We had a picnic yesterday.
It was nothing fancy or grand. We couldn't 'afford' it anyway.
Just a few loaves of bread, transformed into quite a variety of sandwiches.
Just a few mats, a bottle of pop, a book or two
& we had a great time.
Not that we played together,
Not that we built sand castles together,
although i'm sure yunger' un would have loved our input.
But it was the fact that we took the time
Determined to have this family time
not to be distracted by the box nor phone.
even though we read, spoke little
yet.....
you dun need words
to tell
your loved ones
that they are important
it's good to tell,
but there are times
when silence
speaks volumes
when small actions
show great significance
of what your loved ones mean to you
at least
that's what i'd like to believe
Thanks girls..
totally enjoyed the picnic
the rain, the ants even
mostly
totally enjoyed being with you
connected to you
we must treasure the memories
and do it more often.....
