Why do hospital A & E have such long response time? I mean, it's A & E for crying out loud. That means if it's not medical situations caused by accidents Or if it's not an emergency, like severe asthma attack Or chest pain implying heart attack and other emergencies... There really shouldn't be that long a queue?!
From Triage to finally seeing the doctor We waited 3 hrs. 3 long hours of 'massive, overwhelming' pain that was not addressed as we waited for the doctor.
How my daughter managed to cope with the pain all that time confounded me. The extent of her pain was such that A second jab to ease the pain was necessary when the first one did not even touch her.
One night on, they could not find anything wrong with her, so she was placed under observation and will only be discharged tomorrow am, Provided there is no more serious pain.
Why no comprehensive, pro-active investigations and tests? Coudn't that shorten the waiting and the 'observation' time? Which equates to less grumpy patients and their relatives?
She saw someone dripping with blood due to some RTA Like her, they waited a long time. Why such long wait? Shortness of staff? Lack of consultation room?
The staff were nice and all But the experience really left me Disappointed, if not alarmed...
How will this hospital cope with Large scale emergencies??
